Dandelion Vineyards Pride of the Fleurieu Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the coastal character and complexity of South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. Sourced from the sustainably farmed Stranger’s Reach Vineyard, this Cabernet benefits from the cooling influence of the Great Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina. Handpicked in late April, this wine is made with native yeast fermentation and aged for 18 months in French oak, resulting in a beautifully balanced expression of fruit and structure.

Sensory Description: This Cabernet pours a deep, red-black hue with a rich, dark luster. The nose is layered with aromas of ripe blackberries, vanilla, and tobacco leaf, complemented by mineral undertones. On the palate, the wine is generous and bold, with structured tannins and lush fruit flavors leading to a finish that is both poised and polished. A faint hint of oak adds complexity without overpowering the fruit, offering a harmonious balance between depth and elegance.

Winemaker's Background: Dandelion Vineyards was founded by winemaker Elena Brooks, who brings her global winemaking experience and entrepreneurial spirit to the craft. Raised in Bulgaria and later trained in South Australia, Elena’s approach is rooted in showcasing the unique terroir of each vineyard. Dandelion Vineyards is a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and continues to work towards certification, producing wines that celebrate place and history.

Serving Suggestions: Serve this Cabernet Sauvignon at 60-65°F to emphasize its complex fruit and mineral notes. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roasted duck, or hearty mushroom dishes. For cheese pairings, opt for aged Gouda or sharp cheddar. Perfect for elegant dinners or relaxed evenings, Pride of the Fleurieu offers a taste of South Australia’s coastal vineyards in every sip.
