Sensory Description:

This refined sparkling Chardonnay pours a pale straw hue, enlivened by persistent, elegant bubbles. The nose reveals a layered bouquet of lemon peel, white blossoms, and brioche, opening gradually into notes of almond pastry and pie crust. On the palate, green apple and citrus unfold with vibrant clarity, met by creamy textures and a subtle chalky minerality. A long, tapering finish ties together its bright energy and aged complexity.

Producer's Background:

Alma 4 began as a friendship forged at the Liceo Agrícola & Enológico School in Mendoza, where Mauricio Castro, Agustín López, Marcela Manini, and Sebastián Zuccardi first dreamed of crafting world-class sparkling wine. By 1998, they had bottled their first méthode traditionnelle wine, and a year later, the Alma 4 project was born. With five cuvées sourced from meticulously selected high-altitude sites across the Uco Valley, Alma 4 has become one of South America's most exciting sparkling wine producers, known for their precision, patience, and respect for place.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well-chilled at 45–50°F. Ideal pairings include soft cheeses, shellfish, or savory dishes with buttery richness like quiche or roasted chicken. For a decadent twist, try it alongside almond croissants or marzipan desserts to highlight its nutty, pastry-driven finish.

This wine is a testament to high-altitude terroir and the timeless power of méthode traditionnelle. Thoughtfully crafted and aged to perfection, it offers a unique combination of freshness and complexity that elevates every sip.
