Alma 4's Sparkling Chardonnay Roble is crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in two high-altitude vineyards in Argentina's Uco Valley. Made using the Methode Tradicional, this sparkling wine showcases refined elegance and bright complexity, with a lengthy élevage of 30 months. The nose opens with inviting aromas of brioche and white flowers, layered with a zesty touch of lemon peel. On the palate, flavors of green apple unfold with crisp precision, transitioning to a creamy finish reminiscent of almond croissant, accentuated by the fine, lively bubbles characteristic of this cuvée.

Sensory Description This sparkling Chardonnay is a display of elegance with fine, energetic bubbles and a radiant straw color. Aromas are beautifully layered, showcasing green apple and citrus zest mingling with the toasty richness of freshly baked brioche. On the palate, it is refined and balanced, with a creamy yet crisp texture. The flavors are rounded by notes of pie crust, marzipan, and a hint of minerality, culminating in a long, tapered finish that reflects the wine's maturity and depth.

Winemaker's Background The Alma 4 project began in 1999 with friends Mauricio Castro, Agustín López, Marcela Manini, and Sebastián Zuccardi, who met as students at Liceo Agrícola & Enológico School in Mendoza. Driven by a shared passion, they produced their first bottles of Methode Tradicional sparkling wine in 1998, laying the foundation for Alma 4. Today, Alma 4 creates five distinct sparkling cuvées from select parcels across the Uco Valley, with vineyards ranging from 1,300 to 1,550 meters above sea level. Their commitment to traditional methods and high-elevation vineyards has solidified their reputation as premier sparkling wine producers in South America.

Serving Suggestions Serve this sparkling Chardonnay well-chilled at 45–50°F to preserve its vibrant structure and delicate aromas. It pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, seafood, or dishes featuring buttery, savory elements like quiche or roasted poultry. For a unique experience, enjoy it with almond croissants or a selection of marzipan desserts to echo its nutty, pastry-like finish.
