When Sauvignon Blanc wants to let its hair down, it makes a beeline for Rheinhessen and into the hands of Florian Fauth at Weingut Seehof. The 2024 vintage of Shake & Sip brilliance is a riot of zesty citrus, tropical verve, and minerally nerve, all wrapped up in a dry, mouthwatering frame. It’s bold without being brash, electric without chaos, an unapologetically vibrant white that proves serious wine can still be seriously fun.

Sensory Description:

This Sauvignon Blanc leaps from the glass with vibrant aromatics, cassis, lime zest, grapefruit, passion fruit, and a wisp of guava all swirl together, complemented by hints of sage and boxwood. On the palate, it’s both juicy and racy, offering a dynamic interplay of ripe fruit and mouthwatering acidity. The mid-palate shows excellent concentration with a touch of extract sweetness and saline minerality. It finishes clean, lifted, and invigorating, like a cool breeze on a warm day.

Winemaker's Background:

Weingut Seehof is located in Westhofen, in the heart of Rheinhessen, and has been in the hands of the Fauth family for generations. Florian Fauth, the winemaker and driving force behind Seehof’s contemporary rise, is known for crafting precise, mineral-driven wines that combine finesse with approachability. With a deep understanding of terroir and ripeness, he captures purity and character across a broad range of varietals, especially Riesling and, in this case, an electrifying Sauvignon Blanc.

Serving Suggestions:

This wine is ready to enjoy now and will continue to drink beautifully through 2026. Serve chilled, ideally between 8–10°C (46–50°F), and pair with citrus-accented seafood dishes like prawn and lemon risotto, herb-laced goat cheese salads, or vibrant vegetable stir-fries. Its energetic profile also makes it a superb aperitif on its own.

With its lush aromatics, crystalline structure, and irresistible charm, the 2024 Weingut Seehof Sauvignon Blanc Trocken is more than just a refreshing white; it’s a celebration of vitality in a bottle.
