Winemaker's Background:

Founded in 1896 by José Ruiz-Berdejo, Lustau evolved from a humble almacenista operation into a world-renowned producer of sherry. Under the stewardship of his daughter María and later Emilio Lustau Ortega, the house established itself as a visionary force in the industry. In the 1980s, under Rafael Balao, Lustau pioneered concepts like the Almacenista bottlings and expanded its Solera Familiar range. Today, as part of the Luis Caballero Group, Lustau produces wines in all three corners of the Sherry Triangle and is internationally celebrated for its award-winning craftsmanship. Sergio Martínez, Lustau's Cellar Master, has been named Best Fortified Winemaker by the IWC for five consecutive years.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 13–14°C (55–57°F). A perfect match for rich dishes such as game meats, hearty stews, or foie gras, this dry oloroso also shines with matured cheeses and roasted nuts. It makes a superb digestif and is equally compelling when enjoyed solo after a meal.

This sherry is a masterclass in balance and complexity, offering depth, dryness, and a savory warmth that continues to captivate with every sip. A benchmark expression of traditional Oloroso, Lustau’s Don Nuño belongs on the table of every fine fortified wine lover.
