Crafted from rare Chico Aguillar (Agave angustifolia) and Lechuguilla (Agave maximiliana), each batch is a tribute to its unique origin and the tabernero’s touch, culminating in a Raicilla that is every bit as expressive as the land it hails from.

Distiller's Background:

La Venenosa was founded by Chef Esteban Morales, whose deep passion for agave spirits led him to explore the remote tabernas of Jalisco in search of Raicilla’s finest expressions. Morales has worked directly with local maestro taberneros to curate a line that encapsulates the rich diversity of Raicilla production, highlighting differences in agave, altitude, soil, and distillation practice. His efforts have brought well-deserved international recognition to these traditional Mexican spirits and the people who produce them.

Serving Suggestions:

Enjoy neat in a copita glass at cellar temperature (60–65°F) to appreciate the full spectrum of aromatics and texture. This Raicilla also performs beautifully in cocktails, try it in a spirit-forward variation of a Margarita or Oaxaca Old Fashioned for added dimension.
