Sensory Description:

On the nose, this tequila presents bold aromas of cooked agave layered with citrus zest, freshly cracked black pepper, and earthy mineral tones, accented by hints of grass. The palate bursts with bright agave flavor balanced by black pepper spice, cooling mint, and subtle notes of tropical fruit. Freshness dominates, yet earthy depth lingers beneath. The finish is long and refined, fading gently with minimal viscosity but leaving a clean, vibrant impression.

Distiller's Background:

Tequila Ocho was born from the collaboration of two legends: Master Distiller Carlos Camarena, a third-generation tequilero from the famed Camarena family of La Alteña, and the late Tomas Estes, a global spirits ambassador and tequila visionary. Their shared philosophy was to create tequila that honors the agave plant and the land it comes from, produced slowly and traditionally to accentuate natural flavors. Ocho was the first tequila to designate both the year of production and the precise single estate, or “rancho”, from which the agave was harvested, elevating tequila into a collectible and terroir-driven spirit.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve neat at room temperature (60–65°F) to appreciate its bright agave purity and layered complexity, or enjoy it with a splash of water to soften the spice. This tequila also excels in refined cocktails such as a classic Margarita, Paloma, or Tequila Martini. For food pairings, try with fresh ceviche, grilled prawns, sushi, or citrus-marinated chicken. Its clean minerality also makes it an excellent match with herb-driven dishes or aged goat cheese.

Tequila Ocho Single Estate Plata-Blanco is more than an unaged tequila; it is a benchmark for terroir, authenticity, and artistry, representing one of the purest expressions of agave you can experience.
