Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Rosé is a vibrant and sophisticated expression of one of Champagne’s most iconic houses. First crafted in 1818 by Madame Clicquot herself—who invented the first known blended rosé Champagne—this cuvée captures the maison’s signature style of power and elegance, elevated by the expressive charm of Pinot Noir. Balancing freshness and structure with luminous fruit tones, it has become a global benchmark for non-vintage rosé Champagne.

Sensory Description
The Brut Rosé greets the nose with fragrant layers of wild strawberries, cherries, and raspberries, accented by hints of almond, pastry, and rose petals. On the palate, it unfolds with juicy red fruit and a silken mousse, revealing notes of blood orange, white pepper, and a whisper of brioche. The finish is crisp and dry, supported by fresh acidity and the structural backbone for which Veuve Clicquot is renowned.

Winemaker's Background
Founded in 1772, the house of Veuve Clicquot became a force of innovation and quality under the leadership of Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin—“La Grande Dame de la Champagne”—after she was widowed at age 27. Madame Clicquot was the first to produce a blended rosé Champagne and pioneered the riddling rack for clarifying sparkling wines. Today, the maison remains committed to her legacy of audacious excellence, blending precision with boldness under the guidance of cellar master Didier Mariotti. The Brut Rosé is crafted from a deep reserve library and sourced from over 50 to 60 crus across Champagne’s finest terroirs.

Serving Suggestions
Serve well-chilled at 46–50°F in a white wine or tulip glass to enhance the aromatic intensity. Ideal as an aperitif, it also shines alongside tuna tartare, duck breast with cherry glaze, or soft-ripened cheeses like Chaource. For dessert pairings, consider raspberry macarons or dark chocolate truffles to echo its fruit-driven finesse.
