Sensory Description:

This rosé Champagne opens with a delicate and refined nose of wild strawberries, rose petals, and crushed red currants. On the palate, its mineral core and vibrant acidity provide structure and lift to flavors of pomegranate, blood orange, and subtle spice. The mousse is fine and persistent, enhancing the wine’s elegance and length, while the Brut Nature finish leaves a clean, chalky impression that speaks to its Grand Cru origins.

Winemaker's Background:

Founded in 1905 in Ambonnay, Champagne Marguet is now led by fifth-generation vigneron Benoît Marguet, who has earned international recognition for his holistic, terroir-focused approach to winemaking. Since taking over in 2004, Benoît has transformed the domaine into a benchmark for biodynamic viticulture in Champagne. With 8 hectares of estate vineyards in Ambonnay and Bouzy and sourced fruit from other esteemed sites like Verzy and Cumières, he works entirely by horse and hand in the vineyard and vinifies without chemical intervention, added sulfites, or dosage. The result is a collection of vibrant, articulate Champagnes that express their place with clarity and soul.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well-chilled at 43–46°F in a white wine glass or tulip to fully appreciate the wine's delicate aromatics. This Champagne shines as an aperitif but also pairs beautifully with dishes like tuna tartare, duck breast with cherry glaze, or roasted beet and chèvre salad. Its brisk minerality also complements shellfish and lightly spiced Asian cuisine.

For fans of grower Champagne, this Grand Cru rosé offers a rare combination of natural winemaking, biodynamic purity, and Grand Cru precision. With no added sulfites and zero dosage, it speaks boldly of its place and vintage, ideal for collectors, enthusiasts of terroir-driven wines, and anyone seeking Champagne with integrity and depth.
