Sensory Description: The 2021 'Alavida' Malbec greets the nose with inviting aromas of plum, cherry cola, candied raspberry, and a touch of soft earth. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied with medium acidity and low tannins, presenting a velvety texture. Flavors of plum, blackberry, black cherry, and baked blueberry are enriched with hints of baking spices and a subtle nuttiness. The wine finishes with medium length, showcasing great fruit tones and a smooth, crushable quality.

Winemaker's Background: Domaine Bousquet is the result of a 1990 vacation turned lifelong passion for third-generation winemaker Jean Bousquet. Originally from Carcassonne, France, the Bousquet family has a rich history in winemaking spanning four generations. Drawn to the untouched beauty and potential of the Gualtallary Valley in Mendoza's Uco Valley, Jean Bousquet established Domaine Bousquet with a commitment to producing superior quality, organically-grown wines. Today, his daughter Anne Bousquet and her husband Labid Al Ameri continue this legacy, leading Domaine Bousquet to international acclaim as a leader in organic wine production.

Serving Suggestions: To fully appreciate the 'Alavida' Malbec, serve it at 61-64°F (16-18°C). This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with a range of dishes, including grilled meats, hearty stews, pasta dishes, and charcuterie. Its balanced acidity and fruit-forward profile also make it an excellent companion to rich cheeses and roasted vegetables. Enjoy this wine as a delightful accompaniment to your meals or on its own as a celebration of life, or as they say in Spanish, "¡A la vida!"
