Its brilliant coppery hue, a natural result of brief skin contact, sets the tone for a wine that surprises with depth, vibrancy, and aromatic complexity.

Sensory Description:

This Pinot Grigio unfolds with an aromatic bouquet that moves gracefully from floral notes of mimosa, jasmine, and acacia to spiced accents of ginger and pink pepper, layered with ripe pear, rennet apple, and a frame of citrus and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is lively, juicy, and textured, mirroring its aromatic complexity with refreshing acidity and creamy richness. A subtle tannic edge from the skins enhances structure, leading into a long, vibrant, and sapid finish. Its brilliant copper tone further reflects its authenticity and depth.

Winemaker's Background:

Venica & Venica has been a cornerstone of Friuli’s Collio region since 1930, when founder Daniele Venica purchased the original property in Dolegna del Collio. Now in the hands of the next generations, the estate farms 40 hectares and produces around 350,000 bottles annually, remaining faithful to its founding values while embracing innovation. Under the guidance of Gianni Venica and oenologist Francesco La Coppola, the winery has become synonymous with quality Collio wines that balance tradition, terroir, and precision.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 12–14 °C to highlight both its freshness and creamy texture. This wine shines alongside antipasti and delicate canapés, light soups, grilled fish, and white meats. Its vibrant acidity also makes it a superb partner for spring vegetable risottos or creative pairings such as sea bass with strawberries and mint. With a longevity of 3–5 years, it can be enjoyed young for its energy or cellared briefly to reveal further nuance.
