Winemaker’s Background:
Sono Montenidoli is a historic estate located on the slopes of San Gimignano, in Tuscany. Established by Elisabetta Fagiuoli and her partner Sergio Muratori in 1965, Montenidoli’s vineyards thrive on land that has been farmed organically for centuries. The estate is renowned for its commitment to natural farming practices, a philosophy that reflects the deep connection between the land and the winemaker. Montenidoli spans 200 hectares, with only a small portion devoted to vineyards and olive groves, allowing the surrounding forests to maintain the property’s rich biodiversity. Fagiuoli’s passion for preserving the land is matched only by her dedication to crafting wines that honor the history and terroir of the region.

Serving Suggestions:
'Il Garrulo' is famously referred to as the “tomato wine” and is a stellar pairing for a wide range of Mediterranean dishes, particularly pasta with tomato-based sauces, grilled meats, or barbecued vegetables. It is best enjoyed slightly chilled at 60-65°F (15-18°C) to bring out its lively and refreshing character, making it a great option for casual dining or outdoor meals.
