Winemaker's Background:

Founded in 2003 by Kurt Heinlein to honor his Funcke family ancestors, Funckenhausen Vineyards is rooted in the San Rafael district of Mendoza. The estate spans 350 hectares at 850 meters above sea level, nestled against the Andean foothills and enriched by the Diamante River. With the guidance of agricultural engineer Franco Lucchini, the first plantings of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah in 2005 marked the beginning of a legacy built on respect for land, heritage, and family tradition. Today, the winery continues to craft wines that embody both place and story, offering consumers a taste of Mendoza’s hidden treasures.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 46–50°F in a white wine glass to accentuate its freshness. This rosé pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, grilled fish, seafood dishes, crisp salads, and white meats. It is also an ideal companion for summer barbecues, picnics, and long afternoons spent outdoors.

The 2024 Funckenhausen Vineyards Dry Rosé is a wine of brightness, balance, and joy, perfect for casual gatherings yet refined enough for thoughtful sipping. With its crisp fruit, floral elegance, and refreshing finish, it embodies the vision of Funckenhausen: wines that celebrate heritage, terroir, and the simple value of well-spent time.
