Sensory Description
In the glass, this Langhe Rosso boasts a vivid red color with violet hues, hinting at its youthful vibrancy. The nose is an elegant medley of ripe red fruits, plum, and underbrush, gradually giving way to floral nuances, dried hay, tobacco, and a delicate hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with bright summer berries, a mineral edge of graphite, and layered complexity. Subtle notes of black pepper, almonds, and Asian spices add intrigue, leading to a refreshing and satisfying finish.

Winemaker’s Background
G.D. Vajra, a family-owned winery based in Barolo, Piedmont, is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing wines that honor the region’s history and terroir. The Langhe Rosso is an expression of their philosophy—a "hug from Piedmont" that highlights the complementary characteristics of each grape variety. Founder Isidoro Vaira’s vision of this wine as a “dream team” of varietals underscores the thoughtful blending process, which allows Barbera’s personality, Dolcetto’s freshness, Nebbiolo’s elegance, and Freisa’s spice to shine in unison. This blend is a testament to the winery’s dedication to innovation, tradition, and the pursuit of quality.
