Winemaker's Background:

Giuseppe “Beppe” Caviola, one of Italy’s most celebrated oenologists, founded Ca’Viola in 1991 in Dogliani, Piedmont. Named after the “little violet house” that housed his first cellar, the winery is devoted to showcasing the authentic personality of Langhe’s great varietals. Honored as Enologist of the Year by Gambero Rosso in 2002, Caviola has built a legacy on minimal intervention, sustainable farming, and wines that faithfully reflect their terroir. Today, Ca’Viola produces a range of acclaimed wines from Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo across carefully selected crus.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at 16–18°C (60–64°F). This Dolcetto’s fresh acidity and soft texture make it perfect for pairing with charcuterie, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, or grilled lamb. It’s equally delightful alongside hard cheeses like Pecorino or aged Asiago.

The 2023 Ca’Viola Vilot Dolcetto d’Alba is a testament to the beauty of simplicity, a wine rooted in tradition, crafted with passion, and destined to charm every glass it fills.
