Ceretto’s Barolo DOCG is a refined expression of Barolo, blending Nebbiolo grapes from select vineyards across the communes of Barolo, La Morra, Serralunga d’Alba, and Castiglione Falletto. This blend balances the elegance of Tortonian soils with the structure of Helvetian soils, yielding a wine of depth, power, and classic Barolo character. Aged for three years in large oak casks and an additional year in bottle, this wine epitomizes Ceretto’s commitment to crafting wines that harmonize terroir, tradition, and the highest quality.

Vinification: Ceretto’s organically-grown Nebbiolo undergoes a traditional fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. A 20–25 day maceration follows, with malolactic fermentation in 300L French oak barrels. The wine then ages for three years in large oak casks (20–50HL), followed by a minimum of one year in bottle, meeting DOCG Barolo aging requirements.

Tasting Notes: The 2019 Ceretto Barolo reveals soft floral aromas of rose petals with hints of cigar box and red forest berries. Its balanced acidity and refined tannins create a harmonious and inviting palate, perfect for savoring on its own or alongside rich meat or cream-based dishes.

Producer's Background: Ceretto, founded by Riccardo Ceretto in the 1930s, has evolved under the leadership of Bruno, Marcello, and their descendants to become one of Piedmont's premier producers. Known for pioneering sustainable practices, Ceretto combines organic and biodynamic farming across its vineyards, aligning with their mission to honor the land and craft wines of remarkable character.

Serving Suggestions: Serve Ceretto Barolo at 60–65°F (16–18°C) to enjoy its full complexity. Pair it with dishes like osso buco, truffle risotto, or aged cheeses for a classic Italian dining experience. This Barolo, with its balance and depth, is equally enjoyable now or after a few years of cellaring.
