Winemaker's Background:

Baron Ziegler's journey into the wine industry began at a young age, developing a passion for Bordeaux wines that funded his early ventures. From managing wine stores to working with esteemed wine importer Eric Solomon, Baron honed his skills on the East Coast before moving to California. In 2009, he co-founded Banshee Wines and subsequently established Valravn to bring authentic, approachable wines to the table.

Rob Fischer's winemaking career began in the tasting room at Domaine Carneros and evolved through various roles that showcased his analytical and creative talents. With a degree in Enology from Fresno State and experience at Donum Estate, Etude Wines, and Treasury Estates, Rob joined Valravn in 2017. His expertise and passion for winemaking drive the production of exceptional Zinfandels that capture Sonoma's unique terroir.
