A dazzling testament to place, patience, and purity, the 2024 Patricia Green Cellars Sauvignon Blanc from Ribbon Ridge, Oregon, USA, captures a rare expression of this noble white grape in the Pacific Northwest. Sensory Description:

The 2024 vintage opens with intoxicating aromatics, floral white blossoms, lemon meringue, and lime zest mingling with fresh-cut herbs and mineral intensity. The palate is broad and structured, driven by the character of mature vines planted over 30 years ago. Tropical tones of papaya and kiwi are lifted by a crystalline minerality and taut acidity that give this Sauvignon Blanc remarkable tension and length. Aged in 2–4 year old Acacia wood puncheons, it finishes with polish, purity, and subtle weight, offering a sophisticated yet energetic expression of place.

Winemaker's Background:

Patricia Green Cellars was founded with a vision to craft site-driven wines that celebrate the individuality of Oregon’s vineyards. After Patricia Green’s passing, longtime partner Jim Anderson took full reins of the estate, continuing its commitment to organic farming, Pinot Noir excellence, and distinctive white wines. The estate vineyard, originally planted in 1984 and acquired in 2000, sits on a steep, eroded hillside flanked by old-growth forest. Its patchwork of exposures and soil types provides nuanced raw material for wines of structure and soul.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve chilled at 50–55°F (10–13°C) to showcase its vibrant fruit, lifted aromatics, and detailed minerality. Pair with Dungeness crab, goat cheese tart, grilled asparagus, or Thai green curry. While delicious now, the wine can evolve gracefully for several more years, developing further complexity and texture with age.

The 2024 Patricia Green Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is an exceptional example of what Oregon can achieve with this varietal, intensely site-specific, richly layered, and crafted with integrity from vine to bottle.
