Delicious, balanced, and refined, Ostinato Fine Ambra Dolce is a sweet Marsala produced using traditional methods that are now rare in the appellation, especially for Fine expressions. This wine starts with an 'alto grado' base wine made from late-harvest, low-yielding Grillo, Inzolia, and Catarratto old vines. The higher natural ABV means less reliance on fortification and more expression of Marsala’s indelible terroir. Extended aging beyond the minimum Fine requirements produces a Marsala with deep vinous character.

Winemaker's Background:

Founded in the early 1940s by Giuseppe Alagna, Baglio Baita Alagna is a distinguished producer in Marsala. With nearly 50 hectares under vine in the Marsala, Marzara, and Salemi communes, it is one of the few producers that still manage their own vineyards. Third-generation winemaker Ercole Alagna continues to produce 'alto grado' Marsala from late-harvest, low-yielding old vines, emphasizing organic practices without irrigation. The winery, featuring classic baglio-style architecture over medieval grottos, stands as a testament to traditional Marsala wine production.
