Mas Champart’s 'Causse du Bousquet' is a profound expression of the Saint-Chinian terroir, crafted by the meticulous hands of Isabelle and Matthieu Champart. Nestled in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, this cuvée is a testament to their dedication to organic and sustainable viticulture. The name “Causse du Bousquet” translates from Occitan as "limestone plateau where the rock rises to the surface," perfectly capturing the essence of the vineyard's stony soils and rugged terrain.

Producer's Background

Isabelle and Matthieu Champart, originally newcomers to winemaking, have become the standard-bearers of quality in Saint-Chinian. Since taking over Domaine Bramefan in 1976, they have transformed a humble farmhouse into a renowned estate, expanding their vineyards to 16 hectares and practicing sustainable viticulture. Matthieu tends the vines, while Isabelle brings her artistic touch to the winemaking process. Together, they have created wines that are celebrated for their depth, complexity, and expression of the unique terroir.

Serving Suggestions

For optimal enjoyment, cool this wine slightly and decant it before serving. Its robust flavors make it a perfect pairing with grilled meats, hearty stews, or a selection of aged cheeses. Serve at around 60-65°F (16-18°C) for the best experience.

This wine is ready to enjoy now but will continue to evolve beautifully with further aging.
