Refined yet approachable, the Langhe Nebbiolo from Fratelli Seghesio captures the soul of Piedmont’s famed Monforte d’Alba in a fresher, more accessible expression of Italy’s most noble red grape. Made from hand-harvested fruit grown in clay and calcareous marl soils at 350 meters above sea level, this wine is vinified with care and aged in concrete and barrique for elegance and structure. It’s a wine of vibrant character—delicate, floral, and fruit-driven, but with unmistakable Nebbiolo tension and typicity.

Sensory Description:
Radiant garnet in color, this Langhe Nebbiolo offers a lifted bouquet of red cherry, violet, and rose petals, with delicate hints of spice and earth. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, showcasing juicy red fruits, subtle mineral tones, and fine-grained tannins that give structure without austerity. The finish is clean, lively, and persistently floral, perfectly balancing Nebbiolo’s signature complexity with youthful charm.
Winemaker's Background:
Founded in 1988 by Aldo and Riccardo Seghesio, the Fratelli Seghesio estate is a family-run gem nestled in Monforte d’Alba, one of the “grand cru” villages of Barolo. Today, the next generation—Michela, Sandro, and Marco—carry the family legacy forward, managing everything from vineyard to bottle. With just 10 hectares of vines and an annual production of around 60,000 bottles, the estate emphasizes traditional craftsmanship and environmental stewardship. Certified under the National Integrated Production Quality System (SQNPI), their farming and winemaking practices reflect a deep respect for the land and a dedication to transparency and sustainability.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy or Nebbiolo glass to highlight its aromatic finesse and texture. Ideal with roasted poultry, grilled lamb, aged cheeses, or wild mushroom risotto. Its freshness and structure also make it a natural partner for charcuterie and tomato-based pasta dishes.
The Fratelli Seghesio Langhe Nebbiolo is a beautifully expressive red that distills the noble spirit of Barolo into a more immediate, versatile, and delightfully drinkable form—proof that great Nebbiolo can be both profound and approachable.
