ArteNOM 'Seleccion de 1123' Tequila Blanco Historico: A Tribute to Tradition

Savor the rich heritage of Jalisco with ArteNOM 'Seleccion de 1123' Tequila Blanco Historico, a distinctive expression crafted by the esteemed Rosales family at Destilería Cascahuín in El Arenal. This tequila is not just a drink; it's a journey through history and flavor, embodying the essence of the Lowland tequila style.

Rooted in the Lowlands: Provenance and Process

This Blanco Histórico is a testament to the earthy, vegetal, herbaceous, and slightly peppery characteristics of lower-brix valley agave, the signature of Lowland tequila. The meticulous process includes steam-roasting the halved and quartered agaves in brick kiln ovens, followed by juice extraction and double-distillation in pot stills. The final touch is a 28-day barrel conditioning in used mezcal barrels from Oaxaca, capturing the essence of early 1900s tequila preparation.

A Palette of Complex Flavors: Tasting Notes

  • Color: A beautiful straw hue reminiscent of an autumn meadow.
  • Nose: A symphony of roasted pineapple, warm butter, baking spices, smoked pepper, and cider.
  • Palate: A rich tapestry of flavors, including viscous hot cinnamon, black pepper, sweet potato, vanilla, licorice, almond, and hardwood smoke.
