Bear Creek Distillery, founded in 2012 in Denver, is a distillery built on the grain-to-bottle model—handling each step of whiskey production onsite. The founders Jay Johnson, Jeff Dickinson, and David “Dbo” Baker brought together their diverse experiences to build a craft destination for spirits, especially whiskey, in Colorado. The Straight Bourbon is one of their flagship offerings, intended to reflect both craftsmanship and Colorado’s climatic influences—warm days, cool nights—that help shape barrel aging.
