Founded by Giuseppe Calì Tabuso in the early 1900s in Macchia di Giarre on the slopes of Mount Etna, Amaro dell'Etna was created to revive fatigued sailors and dockworkers. Over time, the recipe incorporated exotic botanicals brought back from overseas voyages, blending them with local herbs to create a uniquely Sicilian amaro. Today, Agrosan Sicilia—led by Alfio Caramagno and Fabio Parziano—continues this storied legacy, producing Amaro dell'Etna in Catania with an unwavering commitment to traditional methods, family heritage, and the rich natural bounty of Sicily.
