2 Towns Ciderhouse

2 Towns Ciderhouse was founded in 2010 by childhood friends Lee Larsen and Aaron Sarnoff-Wood, who shared a vision to bring cider back to the people and restore the historic beverage to its rightful place. Inspired by Lee’s time in Spain, travels through Europe, and the bounty of Northwest orchards, the two began crafting small test batches in a basement before debuting them to rave reviews at Lee’s wedding. Soon after, they moved into a converted three-car taxi garage outside Corvallis, Oregon, where their dream took shape. The name 2 Towns pays homage to the places that shaped them, Corvallis and Eugene, and to the communities they remain committed to serving.

From those humble beginnings, 2 Towns has grown into Oregon’s largest craft cider producer, now employing more than 100 people across three facilities in Corvallis, including a barrel-aging space and a bustling taproom. Their ciders are distributed in over 15 states, and the company has been repeatedly recognized as one of Oregon Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work,” reflecting their dedication not only to quality cider but also to creating a culture of fairness, empowerment, and fun.

At the core of 2 Towns’ philosophy is a refusal to take shortcuts. They work exclusively with whole fruit, fresh-pressed Northwest apples, and locally sourced agricultural ingredients whenever possible. Ciders are cold-fermented slowly to preserve the delicate character of the fruit, with some styles aged in barrels once used for wine or bourbon to add depth and complexity. Unlike many mass-produced ciders made from concentrates, syrups, or artificial flavors, every batch from 2 Towns honors the authenticity of traditional cidermaking while exploring new possibilities with creativity and boldness.

Their lineup ranges from crisp, refreshing classics to inventive seasonal releases and specialty barrel-aged ciders. Over the years, they have planted their own orchard of heirloom cider apples to further support their mission of authenticity. This commitment to quality and innovation has earned 2 Towns accolades at national cider competitions, where their integrity-driven approach stands out in an increasingly crowded market.

Beyond the cider itself, 2 Towns is deeply woven into its community. They host annual harvest parties, participate in brewfests across the region, and sponsor local teams and individuals, all while supporting community causes. Their company culture emphasizes family, friends, fun, and teamwork, a spirit that flows through their ciders and into the experiences of everyone who enjoys them.

At its heart, 2 Towns Ciderhouse is about integrity and adventure, restoring cider’s historic roots while pushing boundaries in the present. Every can and bottle reflects their mission to keep craft honest, to celebrate Northwest fruit, and to bring cider back to the people in its purest form.
