Pinhook was founded in 2011 by three longtime friendsÑSean Josephs, Charles Fulford, and Jay PetersonÑwho were driven by a shared passion for bourbon and a curiosity to create something distinct. Inspired by the parallels between bourbon making and thoroughbred horse racing, the name ÒPinhookÓ comes from the Kentucky term for purchasing young horses and nurturing them to racing maturity.
