Ceretto, Vignaioli Di Stefano, Moscato D'Asti, 2020
Points:
92 // James Suckling
Wine Dispensary Tasting Notes:
A slightly sweet, lightly effervescent fruity wine with aromas of peaches, sliced pears, and melons. This light-to-medium-bodied white wine carries this beautifully honeyed characteristic that comes across on the nose and the palate. Made from organically grown grapes.
About the Producer:
Producing wines since the 1930s, this family cares deeply for not only their grapes but also family. Initially, Riccardo Cerretto was making wine only from the grapes he was able to purchase, until his sons, Bruno and Marcello, joined the team and convinced him that the land the grapes were grown on were just as important. They started investing in land, and today they are one of the top Moscato producers in Piedmont. The family continues to run the winery today, with Chef partner, Enrico Crippa; in addition to running a three-starred Michelin restaurant – Piazza Duomo.
